The Magellan terrace is a popular place to watch the sunset across the harbor.
At the far left of this painting you can see Hamburgs brand new opera and concert house »Elbphilharmonie«. This will probably be the last painting when inside all lights are still out. Within the next month they will open.

Some of you might have wondered why I more or less stopped blogging. Well in these past month I gave some workshops and concentrated on my oil paintings. These have to dry before getting varnished and photographed.
But now I’m back and will be posting regularly.
I start with an oil painting from Norderoogsand, a small »island« in the Wadden Sea. It is one of the shoals along the coast line of the Northfrisian Islands and belongs to the Wadden National Park.
