Well, well, well. Where to start after this exciting afternoon with the opening of the annual exhibition of the Pastel Society UK in the Mall Galleries in London.
It was such a surprise and honour to find out that I have been awarded the Daler and Rowney award. Many thanks to the Daler and Rowney team who had choosen my picture for the award. And later my painting was sold to a charming lady and I know that it has found a nice new home.
The people and fellow artists of the society were so welcoming – it is hard to put my overwhelming feeling into words. What an honour of being part of this. To round things up it was such a pleasure to talk to Ceryl Culver, Michael Norman, Felicity House, Katheryn Tyrell and many others.
Many thanks go to the president Cheryl Culver and her commity who put in so much work and dedication to make an event like this happen.
Phillip Mould hold a witty, funny and interesting openening speech; the best one I have ever heard. So it was nice to receive the award from him.
