Plein Air: The danisch peninsula of Broager at the Flensborg Fjord

The Flensborg Fjord is the natural border of Denmark and Germany and at the peninsula of  Broager offers another fafourite painting spot of mine.

While painting a resident came along and said that it looked exactly like it is. The Fjord, the colors, the green touch of the water.

20150806-Gendarmstien

I stand on a trekking trail, the so called »gendarmenstien«. The trail follows the danish coast line and in the old times it was used by the police to prevent booze smuggle. Today it makes a lovely trail for trekking and bike riding.

Sønderjylland Amt offers a  brochure »Gendarmenpfad« as a download (in German) with detailed maps and infos around this cultivated landscape.
