The pier »Op’n Bulln« at Hamburg\/ Blankenese offers the most beautiful views along the river and the sky. The main element will be the clouds and I am still amazed how much they can run across the sky in winter time. Not like in summer when they seem to be pinned with a needle to the firmament.<\/p>\n

Usually this part of the pier is packed with tables but not in the winter time. With 40F it felt quite warm compared to last weeks 15F.<\/p>\n

Accompanied with a cold wind and strong current I tried to capture the fastness in the sky. I am challenged to create the dynamics and fastness of the clouds in the painting. For a change I chose a bigger format to give the sky more space.<\/p>\n
