After a long walk along the shore in the afternoon,we were tired from the wind and the spray and longing for a cup of tea. On our way back to the parking lot we turned around and in this very moment the sun broke through once again and the beach and the dunes were bathed in this glorious light.

I haven’t done a pastel painting like this for quite a while. We went to my favourite northfrisian islands Sylt, where we could enjoy the typicall weather of the North Sea. Being exposed to the wind ,the surf and the salt in your face, … there isn‹t anything better.

After very sunny and warm weeks in September, autumn has arrived with its stormy weather. At the North Sea one now can watch the surf with its typically green color.
