Yesterday we went for a nice walk along my hometown river which brought us to a suburbian part of Hamburg. From here you have a nice view to two of the islands in the river. I wanted to explore some new painting spots for my plein air studies and this time I only took along my sketchbook.
At this time of year the sun sets just between the islands . Clouds were racing across the sky and we watch this »cloudsmovie« in gratitude and silence.
These trip was about figuring out where to park the car and what kind of size I would like my plein air studies to be . It helped me to realize that they have to be small, because I won’t have much time. Only 20 minutes and the scene will have completely changed, because of the fast moving clouds.
